AhnLab to provide mobile security solution for 'T*OMNIA'

AhnLab Inc.(CEO Hongsun Kim, www.ahnlab.com), a global integrated security service provider, announced on November 24 that the company provided 'AhnLab Mobile Security,' a mobile security solution, for the new Samsung 'T*OMNIA' smartphone.

This serves to be a significant case in that smartphone security is provided amidst expectations of rising demand for smartphones with international companies launching new products.

'T*OMNIA' was jointly developed by Samsung, SK Telecom, and Microsoft, three of the top global IT companies. The Windows Mobile 6.1 based touch screen phone features exceptional performance, multimedia functions, sensible UI, and user friendly design.

'AhnLab Mobile Security' that runs on 'T*OMNIA' has been developed with AhnLab's technology, including mobile security solutions for Symbian and Windows Mobile based smartphones. It features malicious code detection and removal, real-time monitoring of the handset and external memory, various scan settings, malicious code quarantine and log management, and other functions specified for mobile phones. Users can install 'AhnLab Mobile Security' from the installation CD provided with 'T*OMNIA' to detect and remove mobile viruses in real-time for secure use of wireless Internet.
